A Break In The Monotony - Big Fire
Tonight was the celebration of Guy Fawkes day (the actual day is tomorrow). The history behind it is sketchy in my mind but you can google it if you so desire. I dont really care. Since funds are low right now lil sis and i decided to enjoy some free entertainment. If you can call watching a big ass fire entertainment.
I lie. there were fireworks and those were very nice. and the fire provided much needed warmth cause its cold as all hell (cold as hell....impossible) outside tonight. Also it was cool to experience something English beyond fish and chips.

burn baby

life is quiet but i dont mind at all
so much to look forward to

So Much For Abstaining...
Went out on Saturday night. Went an office get together thing at the comedy club Jongleurs. It was frickin hilarious. Almost as funny as seeing my work mates consume too much alcohol infront the boss. However, this chick kept filling up my wine glass whenever I was distracted with watching the comedians on stage. I don't need to expound the results. Needless to say the combination of my prolonged break from alcohol, my being unaccustomed to wine (Im a strictly Guinness and rum kinda gal) and my empty stomach proved dangerous.
But anyways... I ended up going to Discotheque by Gatecrasher afterwards. This club that ive been wanting to try since it opened. My fave DJ's on Galaxy play there.

In all it was overrated. Ended up leaving early after a chick threw her drink on me. She wasnt aiming at me and I was too mellow to care so i didnt give her the beatdown she had coming (i.e. i didnt risk getting my ass kicked).
AND THEN..... dumbass me walked home in a that state all the way from the club to my apartment at 2 in the am by myself. Its beyond me how I can be afraid of sitting in the top deck of the bus but unafraid of getting scraped in the wee hours of the morning.
well i wont be doing that again.

and without going into details... its so funny how everyone has skeletons in their closets. I got serious homo overload the other day after not seeing ANY openly gay people in leeds for the whole time i been here.

thats leeds for you... few gays and fewer hot black men. not that i looking... of course..
