Feelin' Chatty
This is just pure randomosity that been bouncing around in my head.

I can't believe how happy I am these days. I know it means Im in for a down spell in the not so distant future but for now Im revelling in it. Little things like getting paid, not HATING my job, and living in Leeds are just thrilling me.

I mean I LOVE this place. Its so compact. The partying is like St. Lawrence Gap. You can easily go from club to club if you want to. And there are quite a few free entry places available on a Friday night. The music isnt great but its dancable (yeah I can make up words:P) to. Overall so far Im enjoying the clubbing. Last night was the Town House.

The shopping is good too. Except for the phenomenon of everything closing by 6 every evening except Thursdays. There are the bargain spots like Primark and Peacocks and then top end stuff is around (not that that has anything to do with me) if thats what you're going for. And then there's always a gem available at the Kirkgate Market you just have to look for it.

however its fricking freezing.
all downhill from here as far as weather is concerned. it was good while it lasted

You Can Do It, Put Your Back Into It
Bday celebrations have begun. Went out tonight and it was sweet. This is the first time Ive felt the effects of alcohol in this country. It was way too expensive to get this buzz. And thats after The Bedouin bought me two drinks and the bartender gave me an ease.
But anyways,

Assimilation
I find myself becoming strangely attracted to Arabic guys. I love their noses especially. Aladdin looking guys turn me on.
Im loving dance music too. I listen to it all day at work and this Brit Pop stuff is really rubbing off on me. Right now my favourite song is Inaya Day's Nasty Girl. It speaks to my alter ego... or as Daanamania would say, my Part B. Another hot song is Love On My Mind by the Freemasons featuring Amanda Wilson.

random, because its 330 am ....

DLG is going to find this site... any minute now. All it takes is one moment of boredom on the net and a thought of me with google.com in the web browser and there you go, Change Is Good revealed.

I dont know how I feel about that just yet. It just means more censorship. But how much more can I leave out with both sisters, the mother and a few other cringe worthy guests reading this thing?

i am so happy.

Of Buses and Such

Every morning I take the bus to work. Its quite the commute. Takes about an hour and two buses to get there. But as monotonous as work is and as mundane as my days are I can always depend on the bus ride/ bus catching exercise to provide excitement and
raise my blood pressure.

My experiences have inspired me to compile a couple facts for anyone having to use the public transportation in the Leeds area:

a) About 1/3 of the bus drivers in the Leeds metropolitan area are innately evil. They get their kicks from seeing you run for the bus and shutting the doors and moving off when you are a mere metre from the door.

b) NEVER stroll to the bus stop. No matter how much time you think you have, there is a bus coming around the conrner and it WILL leave your ass.

c) However, if you happen to miss said bus (by literally 2 seconds), never thee mind, the next one is coming and its 5 mins late.

d) attempting to manoeuver the stairs to the upper deck while your hands are full and while the bus pulls off can be a fatal mistake.

e) Don't sit in the bus shelter, the busdriver will speed past you if he doesnt see you outside waiting, EVEN if he sees you attempting to rush out to put out your arm to stop.

f) Timetable... what timetable? Think of it as a 'guideline' to be loosely adhered to.

g)Internet says its 20 minute ride from point A to point B ... how about 35 mins.

All in all Im happy. It feels good to be making my own money and helping support myself.
Pride and Prejudice on Thurs and early Bday dinner at Nandos.
Gift on its way across the Atlantic as we speak:)
It feels really nice to be wooed even though Im not in that place right now.
