Zen
Another great night. I could get used to this. My trini bredren is really cool to lime with. I only get a tad concerned when he starts to think a good slow grind is grounds for marriage.
But his friend....oh my frickin gosh.
If I ever envisioned perfection in sexiness this was it.
Waist length dreads, well kept and neat, pulled back and secured at the nape of his neck. Smooth caramel skin showing a hint of Indian or some other mixed-up-ness, goatee marked to perfection, a little tall but not too much, a great sense of style, and he went to school in Baltimore, room for endless conversation. But best of all a set of perfect teeth and the most beautiful smile. And he could dance.
I could have swooned.
But of course I had to play it all cool. It wouldnt be right to be checking out your "date's" friend. But he had all the criteria I require to spark my interest... a great smile and a wukkin waist. And he could hold a conversation.... and I will never see him again in my life. sigh.
anyhoos Zen was great. Good music and beautiful people. Eye candy all night long.
For those guys with a Trini woman fetish Zen is a must. I was asking my friend why he would bring sand to the beach. He said something about quality vs quantity, God bless his soul.
well im off to bed. I have to be at school in 3 hours... My doggies need me:)

Stress Induced Illness

One Of Those Moments
I LOVE vet stuff. I didnt realise how much until yesterday I was dealing with this injured sweety fatty daschund. She smelled like "dog" and I had the weirdest thought, I would like to smell like dog for the rest of my life.
Its hard to explain but that smell was the smell of helping sick animals and enjoying the gratitude you can see in their eyes when you make them feel better. It is a smell I associate with a sweet feeling of satisfaction. Animals are really the greatest. Especially dogs. So loving and affectionate and forgiving. If only men were really more like dogs (well except for the humping any female in heat part)
Its Friday!
I think Im going to have to turn down Zen tonight. Spend a little at home time.

Tribute To My Sis
She works one and a half jobs, does a great job of looking after two young children (one toddler with early terrible twos syndrome, the other with a whole lot to say) all the while shes well on her way to completing her MBA programme.
My "job" is to go to school...
so why is she off to study and Im off to sleep after a 3 hour nap this afternoon?
i still feel like i was hit by a truck

My Day
School 8-5, with 5 minute "lunch break" (standing up outside the surgery theatre eating a cheese puff). Now I have a presentation due tomorrow, 25 minutes of Power Point bliss and 5 minutes of grilling from lecturers and colleagues. Friday I have an assignment due, following friday an exam. Monday and Tuesday after than two more exams and then the big mother load of examination on May 10, 11, 12. All the while enduring 8-4 school everyday for the next two weeks and going in on weekends to treat patients.
So maybe its ok if Im feeling a bit overwhelmed right now.
I am sooooo tired.

Sigh - Randomosity
A whole week gone by and little progress made. And I know I should stop bitching and moaning and just get to it...
this is all so depressing.
and why dont guys listen to me when i tell them to keep their distance? I cant count the guys that ive warned who ended up hating me because they didnt take my advice.
and finally the teenaged white girl inside of me feels a hole where the Newlyweds used to be. I'll keep the hope alive for my very own Nick Lachey:)
something is wrong with my brain. Ive been having crushes on every tom, dick and "out of my reach" harry recently. "Girlfriends" is my new addiction (i love that show) and that cheesey guy is starting to be attractive. Not the way he looks but the way he acts... did anyone see how he was with Jill Scott. Wasnt that so adorable or is it just me?
