Black hole sun
Won't you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won't you come
Won't you come

My Future,

It looms ahead of me. Its so intimidating. I don't ever feel happy when I think about it. It's just a time of confusion, and decisions and disappointments. I can't imagine that things will go smoothly when I graduate. I mean, when have they?

But I made a decision tonight. When I graduate Im trying to get a job as soon as possible. Further studies and voluntary work only put me in the position to rely on people. And I know I can never rely on other people. It's a luxury I can't afford.

So as soon as Im making that almighty dollar, my life is entirely my own to live as I see fit. And although other people don't seem to have confidence in me, I know I'm smart enough to make the right decisons or clean up the mess I make when I don't.

You really cant live your life to please other people. At the end of the day you have to bear the consequences of your actions alone.

And so what if you fail. It wouldnt be the first time someone has ever failed in the history of man.

You live, you learn dammit!

And So It Begins...
This week marks the beginning of the Small Animal Medicine rotation. I expect to have long days and little rest. However I expect to enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed previous work in such clinics.

So to prepare for the rigors I invested much of myself in excessive (for me) liming activities with the MUT.

Friday night was the usual night for world travel via literature. This particular book took me to Egypt 1780 B.C. VERY interesting stuff. I fully recommend Wilbur Smith's River God.

Saturday was MUT QT. At some point in the night, with a rum and coke in my hand (Fernandes Black Label of course), listening to latin music, I wished I was at home in my bed curled up with my book. But that thought quickly disappeared when they started playing calypso and I went on to have a super night:D.

All in all life is good. Im counting down the days til I see my sibling's offspring again. And to Small Animal Med I say BRING IT ON BEYATCH!!!
